For the love of dogs

Well, it is time to update my blog from for the love of dog to for the love of dogs because 2 days ago I got a new dog! I rescued Charlie from the Utah Humane Society. He is an 11 month old husky. He was living with a family that had 4 kids, but they had to move to Japan and could not take Charlie with them. The upside of this is that he is housetrained, knows basic commands (sit, down, etc.) and knows how to walk on a leash. Him and Tenaya have been sparring to decide who is the dominant one but hopefully they will sort it out soon. In the meantime, I have included some pictures:

Tenaya the Super Dog

I realized that even though my blog is called For the Love of Dog, the dog-centric posts have been few and far between these days, so I have decided to change that. One of the things that I have always loved and admired about Tenaya is that even though she is a relatively small girl (she weighs in at about 60 pounds), she never lets her small size limit her dreams. This dog is so ambitious, she constantly thinks that she can carry whole tree trunks around in her mouth (she has never met a stick she didn't fall in love with).
